The Jungle Books by Rudyard Kipling
Most of the stories in Kipling’s The Jungle Book are set in India. However, The White Seal is set in the Bering Sea, at Novastoshnah on the island of St. Paul’s between Russia and Alaska. Technically it is a US territory, but the text is also peppered with several Russian words and phrases, (although translations are provided for all of them), so I decided to share this title between Russia and Alaska.
