Step into the wardrobe with me for a look at Narnia through the eyes of the various illustrators of this magical modern classic!

Some beautiful titles are coming out this winter! Here is a list of new releases from now until the end of February 2023, as well as some late Autumn titles I missed. I’ve also added some holiday favorites!

First a theatrical play, then a picture book, Peter Pan or Peter Pan and Wendy has seen no shortage of illustrated versions. Come fly away with me and explore the various illustrators of Neverland!

Here are some gorgeous new titles coming out in the USA this autumn that caught my eye! Most of them are classics or have a classic “lean”, but I have also included some popular picture book titles as well as some non-fiction I thought looked just amazing!

Illustrator Explore!
With the live action version of Disney’s The Little Mermaid coming out in May 2023, I thought it would be fun to explore the illustrators of the stand-alone version of Hans Christian Anderson’s very beautiful, original tale.
Pictured here are some adapted, graphic novel and bilingual versions – but there are so many more to “sea”!

With her gorgeous patterns and colors created using mixed media, Lauren Child has become a favorite illustrator of mine. Explore her illustrated classics and modern classics here!

Illustrator Explore! Mary Poppins by P.L. Travers – The illustrators are few, but precious!

Original illustrator Roswitha Quadflieg is a perfect illustrator for Michael Ende’s The Neverending Story. However, it’s been almost 44 years and some new, full color, updated illustrations of an English version would be welcome!
