To the Front- March 1

By Claudia Friddell

Illustrated by Christopher Cyr

March is Women’s History Month so I will begin this post with a moving and gorgeously illustrated picture book about nurse, Clara Barton, who’s brave and determined actions during the Civil War began her journey to becoming one of our nation’s greatest humanitarians and founder of the American Red Cross.

If Amazon doesn’t have interior views yet, visit the illustrator Christopher Cyr’s website to view his magnificent artwork here

One of my longest and best of friends, Himne, works and is very involved in the Red Cross and I am so excited to tell her about this one!

OMG this is too cute! And real-world educational and wonderful and reminds me of my home-state Texas and every good thing!!

Bovine brother and sister decide to go into the restaurant business together but disagree on where, what, how etc.! Until they come to a compromise. A food truck! Aah now I’m thinking of the food trucks in Austin, Texas and getting hungry!
