This spring it is the illustrated non-fiction books that have come out in the greatest of numbers! However, still some classics and adaptations to explore – and I’ve added a couple of picture and holiday books that have caught my eye!

Here are some gorgeous new titles coming out in the USA this autumn that caught my eye! Most of them are classics or have a classic “lean”, but I have also included some popular picture book titles as well as some non-fiction I thought looked just amazing!

With the live action version of Disney’s The Little Mermaid coming out in May 2023, I thought it would be fun to explore the illustrators of the stand-alone version of Hans Christian Anderson’s very beautiful, original tale.
Pictured here are some adapted, graphic novel and bilingual versions – but there are so many more to “sea”!
